May Collection for Rainbow Pantry

During the month of May, the Community Missions committee is collecting items for the Rainbow Pantry!  The Rainbow Pantry is specifically in need of toilet paper, washing powder, and canned goods (not corn or green beans). Please put all donations outside the CTM library.  Please bring all items to Royston Baptist by Sunday, May 28th.  Thank you for the Baby Bottle Donations for Franklin Life Pregnancy Center! We appreciate your generosity!

RBC Kids end of the school year bash! We will be taking a trip to Rush in Athens, May 28th. We will leave the church at 2pm and return around 5:30pm, Cost for the trip is $20 which covers admission and dinner after. Kids under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

VBS Volunteer Meeting

All VBS volunteers will be meeting in the FLC today at 3pm.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

Mark your calendars for Saturday morning, June 3rd from 10:00 to 11:00. Join us in the Family Life Center as we share more about what we learned at the Global Connect Conference and about the opportunities big and small in which you can become more involved. This will also be a great opportunity to connect with OCC enthusiasts from local churches. We also hope to begin developing several teams to help RBC pack more shoeboxes and to be a successful collection center during National Collection Week.  Whether you are a seasoned shoebox packer or have never heard of OCC, there is a place for you! Rose

The rose was placed in the sanctuary today in honor of George A. Cape born Wednesday, April 26, 2017.  He is the son of Brent and Nancy Cape of Gainesville and the grandson of Mark and March Freeman of Royston.  George weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.  George was born on his grandmother March’s birthday and he has one older sister, Lovayda Claire Cape.

VBS is coming up fast and we will be ready! There will be a VBS meeting on Sunday, May 21st at 3pm for ALL VBS workers. Please make plans to attend.

Fine Arts Camp 2017 registration is open! 

This Christian Fine Arts Camp is for ages 8-15 and runs the week of June 12-16, 2017 in Emmanuel College’s Taylor Building. The cost: $150.00 (including lunch and snacks) Elective classes include music, drama, art, graphic design, photography & creative writing. Classes are taught by faculty members and professionals. The camp is packed with fun games, recreation and worship. Registration forms are available at www.ec.edu/artsacademy.

CSP will once again be hosting 2 great summer camps for kids/young adults with special needs. Jammin Jubilee Hartwell will be June 19-23, Jammin Jubilee @ RBC, July 10-14. Summer Connections Day Camp will begin June 5th and end July 28. For more information or if you would like to make a donation, please see Teresa Phillips.

Wednesday Women’s Bible Study

On Wednesday, April 12th the Women’s Bible Study began to study The Frazzled Female.   We would love for all women of RBC & friends of the community to join us!  The study will be six weeks and books cost $16.  Please join us in the FLC from 6:00-7:00pm and invite a friend!

Wednesday Night Men’s Bible Study

Wednesday Night Men’s Bible Study begins a new series on the book of James. Please join us from 6-7 pm and invite a friend.

Easter Eggs

Our annual church wide covered dish and Easter egg hunt will be April 9.  We need eggs and candy!! If you would like to donate candy or plastic eggs, there will be a basket in the children’s hall for those. Small Individually wrapped, non chocolate candy works best to fill the eggs. 

Easter at RBC

Please remember to bring your flowers to place on the cross, April 16th, Easter Sunday morning. This is a beautiful symbol of the death and resurrection of our Savour to share with the community.

The Children will be entering the Sanctuary with palm branches on Sunday morning April 9th. This is symbolizing the procession of the faithful.

Community Missions Blitz

Our 3rd annual Community Missions Blitz will be Saturday, March 25th!  If you know of a community need, please let Kristen Harris or Susan Barlow know the need.

Vacation Bible School

Your response to our request for vbs materials has been wonderful! Note We have revised the list for VBS. We are still in need of these items: containers or cans of various sizes (paint buckets, coffee cans, tin cans,etc., old strands of Christmas lights, unique colorful and creative pieces of housewares like lamps, fans, and old electronics. These will be used as props and fun decorations. Please let us know if you need these back. Thanks for all your help!
