Announcements for November 6, 2016

RBC Kids

Teresa Phillips will be ministering through a community yoga class on Monday evenings at 6:30 starting November 7 in the gym at RBC. The cost for the class will be $6. Please bring a mat and a friend!

We are very fortunate to have our EC students working in the nursery but they are going to get 6 weeks off for the holidays this year. That means that I will need extra support while they are gone for the Sunday school hour and the worship hour. If you are willing to serve, please let me know. I will be working on a special schedule for this time. Thank you in advance!

Operation Christmas Child packing party

Please join us for the annual shoebox packing party Wednesday November 16th from 5-7pm.  All are welcome, and the usual Wednesday evening activity groups will be joining us as well.  There will be a soup and chili supper before beginning the packing so come hungry! This will be a totally new packing experience for all of us that you will not want to miss! We will also have an opportunity for each of you to add your own special touch to boxes and show children all over the world that they are special and loved.

Great Fall Reading...

Worship Choir in Concert

You are invited to hear our Worship Choir in Concert with the Emmanuel College Chorale on Thursday, November 10th at 7:30 pm in Taylor Chapel as they sing “How Great Thou Art.”

Special Recognition Sundays

Today, during 11:00 a.m. worship service, we remember all congregants that died as we celebrate All Saints Day.

Today is also Retired Educators Day. Please take time next Sunday to thank our retired Educators: Antha Bennett, Helen Brown, Zadie Gaines, Janie Lantz and Mary Strickland, Michael James, Donnie Ashworth, and Ann Ashworth.

On November 13th, during the 11am worship service, the church is recognizing our military veterans. Please share so all of our veterans know they will be honored.
