Stuck with Me

So just in case you missed it, you are now all stuck with me a little bit longer. I have been given the opportunity to stay on and move from Interim Youth Minister to the permanent position of Minister of Youth. I first just want to say thank you for all of the love and support you have all shown me during these past few months. I am so excited for what God has in store for Royston Baptist Church.

For me, this has been an opportunity that I have been striving towards for nearly 6 years. It all started at the age of 19 when I first felt a calling to ministry. It was a time where I had felt very lost and confused as to where my life was going. I had just finished my first year of college and was, in my mind, even farther away from where I was suppose to end up. Then one night while on a mission trip in Arizona, I felt something I had never felt before: a feeling of complete peace and knowing. I knew in my heart what God was calling me to do. However, it took a little bit longer for my brain to catch up to my heart, but it did eventually catch up. So in the Fall of 2008, I began on my journey of working in the field of ministry as lifestyle as well as a vocation.

Since then God has taken me on a journey full of excitement, and at times, disappointment. But if given the chance, there isn’t a thing I would change, because I know that God has put me through all it so to prepare me for this moment, this opportunity, this Church. I thank you again for giving me this opportunity and my prayer for this Church and myself is that we can allow God to have His will, and even when we don’t understand it, we will trust in Him and follow.

Shalom,
