Wednesday nights at RBC are a very special time when we take our focus to the mission field. Our kids are lead on a journey to foreign country to meet a missionary family and learn a little about the culture, environment and even the food where the missionaries live. RBC kids also have the opportunity to get to know missionary families who are right here in the United States. To really help our kids understand what being a missionary means, we plan activities and ways our kids can give back and teaching them from a young age to be mission minded.
Our kids have been involved in many projects in the past year. Some of those are giving to the Rainbow Pantry, making “Blessing Bags” for the homeless, visiting the nursing home and taking special items for residents, Back Yard Bible Study with neighborhood kids, helping raise funds for kids in Liberia during VBS and collecting items for Samaritan’s purse to be put in shoeboxes.
Hebrews 13:16 reminds us of the call to serve:
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others,
for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
