The first one is a prayer for my teaching from The Song of Moses, Deut. 32:2-4. The second one I’d like to share with you is for my ministry and personal life. It is from Isaiah 43:18-19. Forget the former things; Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. I pray that the Lord will open our eyes as we partner together as His church in 2012 to see the new work He is bringing to us. May He enlighten our hearts and minds to perceive it and embrace it. Beginning my 5th year serving you, I recognize how blessed I am to be part of such a loving congregation. I especially appreciate the loyalty and commitment of the choir for all the hours they spend preparing to lead the congregation and the trust they give me as their director. I give thanks to the Lord for the blessing of you and look forward to days ahead splashing with you in sparkling, clear running streams. Joyfully, Deborah

Looking Out for Streams

          A few years ago I began a new tradition of searching for “the” scripture that I felt the Lord would use as a theme verse for my life and ministry throughout the year.  In past years I have been amazed to see how He has confirmed those verses and even brought them back to my attention later in the life to show me that He fulfilled those words.
