Rite of Passage

I don’t know if it was a rite of passage for you, but it felt like one for me.  Reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis was something each young but serious person of faith had to do.  I will admit, until it was updated and revised in language there was very little I actually understood.  I muddled through anyway.  Therefore, it seems like a wonderful bible study topic for the summer.  I know many of you will be in and out, but most of us have read or have intended to read Mere Christianity.  Now is your chance.

As we join together for adult Sunday School, (BASIC Sunday school members are invited individually, but they will continue to meet together) I hope you will dust off that old copy of Mere Christianity and get ready to study.  We will be aided in discussion by a DVD and study guide.  Our Sunday School teachers will continue rotating giving them a chance to share with the larger adult Sunday School group as well as become a learner over the summer.

Joint Summer Sunday School begins June 5th and continues until August 28th.  Be in prayer that God moves this summer as we study and join together!
